"He was true in the beginning," is the usual translation of Aad Sach. But it can also seen as meaning , "It was true." Because not only was Sat Guru true but the entire creation was true in the beginning. By creation, it is more than the physical. It is everything, including ideas, concepts and thoughts. There is a saying: 'There is nothing new under the sun.' This is exactly the same thing as when Guru Nanak said: Aad Sach, Jugaad Sach, Haibee Sach, Naanak Hosee Bhee Sach. There is nothing new under the sun because "It was true in the beginning."

Here we must look at the concept of Destiny. Just as it is true that everything was true in the beginning but it is also true that everyone and everything has its own Destiny and that includes Sikhi.

"Union with Him, and separation from Him, come by His Will. We come to receive what is written in our destiny." Guru Nanak page 6

"They act according to their preordained destiny, which no one can erase. 3" Guru Amar Das page 27

"Those humble servants of the Lord who have attained the Company of the True Guru, have such preordained destiny inscribed on their foreheads." Guru Ram Das page 10

"As it is preordained, people speak their words. As it is preordained, they consume their food. As it is preordained, they walk along the way. As it is preordained, they see and hear. As it is preordained, they draw their breath. Why should I go and ask the scholars about this? 1 O Baba, the splendor of Maya is deceptive. The blind man has forgotten the Name; he is in limbo, neither here nor there. 1Pause" Guru Nanak page 15

It is a mistake to believe that Sikh Panth was created by Guru Nanak or that Guru Nanak could escape his own destiny. Sikhi has been true from the beginning and it was it's Destiny and Guru Nanak's Destiny that he should be the channel for the Revelation of the Truth. It is also a mistake to believe that concepts like Miri Piri and Khalsa were distortions and that Guru Hargobind and Guru Gobind Singh had strayed from the teachings of Guru Nanak. There are no teachings of Guru Nanak. They are all the teachings of Sat Guru as revealed through the Ten Nanaks. The concept of the Ten Nanaks can also be very misunderstood. Many believe that it was the Light of Guru Nanak that was passed on to the later Gurus. It was the Light of Sat Guru that shown in Guru Nanak and it was that Light that was passed on to Guru Angad and all the Gurus after him, including the Guru Granth. Therefore the concept that either Guru Hargobind or Guru Gobind Singh distorted or strayed from the teachings of Guru Nanak is totally false. They were just fulfilling the Destiny of Sikhi. It would also be a mistake to believe that Guru Hargobind created Miri Piri or Guru Gobind Singh created the Khalsa, just as much as it would be a mistake to believe that Einstein created E=MC squared. All of this was true in the beginning and it was the Destiny of Sikhi for these things to be revealed through the Ten Gurus. It wasn't Guru Gobind Singh that decided that the teachings were complete and perfect and that there was no more need for a human channel, it was Sat Guru and those complete and perfect teachings were made Guru in the form of the Truth as written in the Guru Granth.

Naanak Hosee Bhee Sach 1 "O Nanak, forever and ever be true." This means much more than "He will be True Forever." It means, "It will be True Forever" and this means that the Creation will be true forever. Some people believe that times have changed and there is no longer any need for some of the things that the Guru's taught. Some would say that in today's times it is no longer necessary to keep the Kakkars. These are all outdated. The answer to this is: Naanak Hosee Bhee Sach. Guru's teachings will never be outdated because they are 'True forever and will always be True.'
