Hamree karo haath dai rachchhaa||
Give me your Hand, Lord, and protect me.
Pooran ho-e chit kee ichchhaa||
Please, fulfil my heart's desires:
Tav charnan man rahai hamaaraa||
Let my mind remain attached to Your Lotus Feet
Apnaa jaan karo pratipaaraa||1||
Make me Your Own and cherish me.
Hamray dusT sabhai tum ghaavho||
Please destroy all my enemies.
Aap haath dai mohe bachaavho||
Give me Your Hand, and save me.
Sukhee basai moro parivaaraa||
May my family live in peace
Sayvak sikkh sabhai kartaataa||2||
May all my serviceful sikhs abide in peace O Creator.
Mo rachchhaa nij kar dai kariyai||
Protect me with Your All-Powerful Arm.
Sabh bairan ko aaj sa(n)ghariyai||
May all the enemies be destroyed today.
Pooran ho-ee hammaree aasaa||
May my hopes be fulfilled.
Tor bhajan kee rahai pi-aasaa||3||
May my thirst for repeating Your Name continue.
Tumaih chhaaD ko-ee avar na dhiyaa-oo(n)||
May I not forsake You. May I meditate on no other than You.
Jo bar chaahou(n) so tum tay paa-oo(n)||
May I obtain from You the gifts which I wish for.
Sayvak sikkh hamaaray taaree-aih||
Please help my serviceful Sikhs cross over.
Chun chun satr hamaaray maaree-aih||4||
Single out my enemies and kill them.
Aap haath dai mujhai ubariyai||
Please give me Your Hand and save me.
Maran kaal kaa traas nivariyai||
Destroy the fear of death from within me.

Deen ba(n)dh dusTan kay ha(n)taa||
O Friend of the poor, Destroyer of tyrants:
Tumho puree chatur das ka(n)taa||6||
You are The Lord Master of the fourteen worlds.
Kaal paa-e bhramaa bap dharaa||
As ordained by God, Brahma obtained a body.
Kaal paa-e sivjoo avtaraa||
As ordained by God, Shiva became incarnate.
Kaal paa-e kar bisan prakaasaa||
As ordained by God, Vishnu appeared.
Sakal kaal kaa kee-aa tamaasaa||7||
All of this is the Play of God.
Javan kaal jogee siv kee-o||
God created the Yogi Shiva.
Baydraaj brahmaa joo thee-o||
He created Brahma, the King of the Vedas.
Javan kaal sabh lok savaaraa||
He fashioned the entire world.
Namaskaar hai taahe hamaaraa||8||
I bow in humble adoration unto Him.
Javan kaal sabh jagat banaa-yo||
God created the entire world.
Dayv dait jachchhan upjaa-yo||
He created the demi-gods, demons and spirits.
Aad a(n)t aykai avtaaraa||
From beginning to end, He is The One Incarnate.
So-ee guroo samjheyho hamaaraa||9||
Let all know: He is my Guru.
Namaskaar tis hee ko hamaaree||
I humbly bow unto Him Alone.
Sakal prajaa jin aap savaaree||
He Himself has created all His beings.
Sivkan ko sivgun sukh dee-o||
Upon His virtuous servants, He bestows happiness.
Sattran ko pal mo badh kee-o||10||
In an instant, He destroys the evil enemies.
GhaT ghaT kay a(n)tar kee jaanat||
He knows what is within each and every heart.
Bhalay buray kee peer pachhaanat||
He knows the sufferings of the good and the bad.
CheeTee tay ku(n)char asthoolaa||
From the tiny ant, to the huge elephant.
Sabh par kripaa drisT kar phoolaa||11||
Upon all, He casts His Glance of Grace.
Sa(n)tan dukh paa-ay tay dukhee||
When His Saints endure suffering, He suffers.
Sukh paa-ay saadhan kay sukhee||
When the Holy obtain happiness, He is happy.
Ayk ayk kee peer pachhaanai(n)||
He knows the cares of each and every one.
GhaT ghaT kay paT paT kee jaanai(n)||12||
He know each and every secret of each and every heart.
Jab ud-karakh karaa kartaaraa||
When the Creator projects His Creative Power
Prajaa dharat tab dayh apaaraa||
His Creation is created in countless forms.
Jab aakarakh karat ho kab-hoo(n)||
When He draws His Creation within Himself again,
Tum mai milat dayh dhar sabh-hoo(n)||13||
Then all living beings are absorbed into Him.
Jaytay badan srisT sabh dhaarai||
All beings who have come into the world,
Aap aapnee boohj uchaarai||
Describe God according to their own understanding.
Tum sabh-hee tay raihat niraalam||
O Lord, You remain detached from everything.
Jaanat bayd bhayd ar aalam||14||
Only the learned and the wise understand this.
Nira(n)kaar nribhikaar nirla(n)bh||
O Formless Lord, Unstained, Unmarked,
Aad aneel anaad asa(n)bh||
O Primal Being, O Pure One, without beginning, Self-Created
Taa kaa mooRh uchaarat bhaydaa||
Only fools claim to know the Secrets of God.
Jaa ko bhayv na paavat baydaa||15||
His Secrets are not known to the Vedas.
Taa kao kar paahan anumaanat||
One who sets up a stone idol as God,
Mahaa mooRh kachh bayd na jaanat||
Is a great fool - he does not know the difference!
Mahaadayv ko kaihat sadaa siv||
He keeps on calling Shiva the Great God,
Nira(n)kaar kaa cheenat naih bhiv||16||
But he does not know the Secrets of The Formless Lord.
Aap aapnee budh hai jaytee||
According to their own intellects,
Barnat bhi(n)n bhi(n)n tuhe taytee||
People describe God in their own ways.
Tumraa lakhaa na jaa-e pasaaraa||
Your Extent and Limits cannot be known.
Keh bidh sajaa pratham sa(n)saaraa||17||
How the universe was first created cannot be known.
Aykai roop anoop saroopaa||
He has One Form, of Unparalleled Beauty.
Ra(n)k bha-yo raav kahee bhoopaa||
He appears as a beggar, or a king, at different places.
A(n)dah jayraj saytaj keenee||
He created life form eggs, from the womb, and from sweat.
Utbhuj khaan bahur rach deenee||18||
He created nature's abundant vegetation.
Kaahoo(n) phool raajaa hvai baiTHaa||
Sometimes, as an emperor, He sits joyfully.
Kahoo(n) simaT bha-yo sa(n)kar ikaiTHaa||
Sometimes, He sits as a Yogi, detached from all.
Sagree srisT dikhaa-e acha(n)bhav||
The entire creation unfolds as His Wondrous Miracle.
Aad jugaad saroop suya(n)bhav||19||
From the beginning, through the ages, He is Unchanging, Self Created.
Ab rachchaa mayree tum karo||
Now, O Lord, give me Your Protection.
Sikkh ubaar asikkh sa(n)gharo||
Save my Sikhs, and destroy the non-believers.
DushT jitay uTHvat utpaataa||
Destroy our enemies who engage in evil.
Sakal malaychh karo raN ghaataa||20||
Destroy all the filthy evil-doers on the field of battle.
Jay asidhuj tav sarnee paray||
O Wielder of The Sword: They who seek Your Shelter,
Tin kay dushT dukhit hvai maray||
May their enemies meet a terrible death!
Purakh javan pag paray tihaaray||
They who fall at Our Feet, O Lord,
Tin kay tum sa(n)kaT sabh taaray||21||
Please release them from all suffering.
Jo kal ko ik baar dhi-ai hai||
They who meditate upon the Almighty Lord, even once,
Taa kay kaal nikaT nai aihai||
Cannot be approached by Death.
Rachchaa ho-e taahe sabh kaalaa||
The Lord will protect them forever,
DusT arisT Taray(n) tatkaalaa||22||
And their troubles and enemies shall be gone in an instant.
Kirpaa drisT tan jaahe nihareho||
When the Lord casts His Glance of Grace upon the mortal,
Taa kay taap tanak mo hareho||
He is instantly freed of all suffering.
Riddh siddh ghar mo sabh ho-ee ||
All worldly and spiritual powers come to them in their own homes.
DushT chhaah chhvai sakhai na ko-ee||23||
Their enemies shall not even touch their shadows.
Ayk baar jin tumai sa(n)bhaaraa||
Who ever remembers you, O Lord even once,
Kaal phaas tay taahe ubaaraa||
Shall be saved from the noose of Death.
Jin nar naam tihaaro kahaa||
That mortal who utters Your Name,
Daarid dusT dokh tay rahaa||24||
Shall be freed from poverty and the attacks of his foes.
KhaRag kayt mai saraN tihaaree||
O Wielder of the Sword, I seek Your Shelter.
Aap haath dai layho ubaaree||
Please, give me Your Hand, and save me!
Sarab Thaur mo hoho sahaa-ee||
Please be my Helper in all Places.
DusT dokh tay layho bachaa-ee||25||
Protect me from the evil plots of my enemies.
